Gene Taylor

BIO

Singer Songwriter and multi instrumentalist has been playing the NYC circuit for the past decade. After booking his first national tour in a musical he decided to make the switch to full time musician in 2014. A few years of doing wedding gigs and corporate and wedding gigs, he teamed up with producer and singer for “The Family Stone” to produce his first EP “Think It Over” an EP of funk/R&B melted with pop sensibilities. After releasing that EP he’s been reconnecting with his rock roots of his early twenties and early touring days with his first band “Tragic Flaw”.

Over the years he’s sung at The Apollo, Carnegie Hall  and is currently in the house band at Cafe Wha in the village as well as making small TV appearances in VH1 “Singled Out” and 5 Eva Girl. He has also worked with Sophie B. Hawkins (Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover) and has been the keyboardist and guitar player for comedienne Sandra Bernhard. This past summer he had the rich opportunity to audition and be cast in “The Voice”.

Currently Gene is rehearsing with his rock trio and recording his next project “Blood on the Line”.
