The Whispers, an iconic R&B vocal group, began their career in 1963 with twins Walter and Wallace Scott, Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson, and Gordy Harmon. Renowned for their tight harmonies, they achieved fame with hits like “And The Beat Goes On” and “Rock Steady,” earning numerous gold and platinum albums. They maintained popularity through the decades, with significant contributions to the Soul Train label and collaborations with artists like Babyface. Despite Marcus Hutson’s passing in 2000, the group continues to perform with its original members. Celebrated for their enduring appeal and charitable work, The Whispers were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2003 and continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
