UAA IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE REPRESENTATION OF MALDITA VECINDAD

Maldita Vecindad is a legendary Mexican rock band that emerged in the vibrant musical landscape of the 1980s. Maldita Vecindad gained popularity by combining aspects of rock, ska and their latin culture. Being one of the most important influences to the genre Maldita Vecindad has had great success in growing a fan base. In 1989, Maldita Vecindad released their first album “Maldita Vecindad y los Hijos del Quinto Patio”.

The long awaited, most recent album “Circular Colectivo” (2009), features songs “Quinto Patio Ska”, “Y AsÍ Seguir” and “El País de No Pass Nada”. Bringing their unique personas the album was sure to make an impact and it did. Maldita Vecindad showed growth from their previous albums but still made sure to include why they began making music, giving the people a different and exciting genre of music “rock en Español”.

Maldita Vecindad’s breakthrough came with their debut album, “Maldita Vecindad y los Hijos del Quinto Patio“, released in 1989. The album featured iconic tracks like “Pachuco“, which became an anthem for the urban youth of Mexico. The fusion of rock and traditional Mexican elements showcased the band’s commitment to exploring their cultural roots while embracing a rebellious spirit.
