Dick Fox's Golden Boys: Frankie Avalon, Fabian & Tommy cono

Frankie Avalon is an iconic American singer, actor, and trumpeter who first gained fame in the 1950s. He made his television debut in December 1952 on The Jackie Gleason Show, showcasing his trumpet skills. By 1959, he reached the pinnacle of pop music with his number one hits “Venus” and “Why,” the latter becoming the final top hit of the decade. Avalon enjoyed considerable success with 31 charted singles, including “Just Ask Your Heart”, “Bobby Sox to Stockings”, and recognizable “Beauty School Dropout”, often collaborating with producer Bob Marcucci.

Under the guidance of producer Bob Marcucci, Fabian released several hits, including “Turn Me Loose” (US Billboard #9) and “Tiger” (US Billboard #3), the latter of which sold over a million copies and earned a gold disc. He quickly became a teen idol, earning accolades like the Silver Award for “Promising Male Vocalist of 1958”,  ultimately carving out a lasting legacy as seen with hit singles like “String Along”, “About This Thing Called Love” and “This Friendly World”, which reached No. 12 on the US charts.

Tommy C, hailing from Hoboken—has been devoted to music since childhood. Growing up in a family rich in entertainment, he drew inspiration from his grandmother, a former Rockette, and his parents, who nurtured his love for Doo-Wop and iconic pop crooners.Known as “The Voice of Tribute,” Tommy C showcases a diverse singing style that pays homage to legends like Tom Jones, Frankie Valli, and Bobby Rydell who he collaborated with on “Sway” before Rydell’s passing. His killer voice resonates on major radio stations and streaming platforms, captivating audiences with fresh arrangements of classic hits.
