Speaking on Johayna joining Universal Attractions Agency and the growth of the Latin department, Nick Szatmari Said: “UAA’s Latin department is at full sail, with some big collabs in the pipeline and a head-spinning explosion of our roster, including the biggest names in Latin music across all genres. We’ve brought on our latest hire, Johayna El Mouallem, to help manage the volume. She’s a bright young star and has hit the ground sprinting; we’re very fortunate to have her on our team. Our team in LA is set to make some big waves, and we’re gonna need a bigger boat!”
With her new role at Universal Attractions Agency, Johayna mentions a personal goal of hers is bringing in Brazilian acts to the agency’s rapidly growing Latin division.
About the Universal Attractions Latin Department:
Universal Attraction Agency’s Latin department can be traced back to the signing and exclusive partnership with José Feliciano, a keystone moment and birth of the department. José Feliciano, the first Latin artist to find crossover success in American markets, recently performed with fellow Puerto Rican native Bad Bunny during the latter’s headlining Coachella set. Other early breakthrough moments for the department include Banda El Recodo’s performance at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City, KS, showcasing the growing crossover success of Latin music across the U.S. and especially in secondary and tertiary markets, and the “Viva La Música” festival. Taking place at Orlando’s SeaWorld, UAA has assisted with programming the entire lineup for the past couple of years.
