A new and original musical tribute that celebrates the life and legacy of the multi-Grammy Award-winning “Queen of Salsa”, Celia Cruz!
The dynamic 2-hour show features Celia’s signature style and biggest musical hits like “Quimbara”, “La Negra Tiene Tumbao”, “Tu Voz”, “Bemba Colorá”, and “La Vida Es un Carnaval” performed live by the international singing star Lucrecia with the support of the Celia Cruz All-Stars.
On a large LED screen, archival material, never-before-seen film and video footage, as well as unpublished personal photographs and documents support the unique narrative style. The musical numbers are performed live by international singing star Lucrecia, who recreates Celia’s unique performing style, gestures, personality and voice with the support of a 13-piece band and dancers. Celia Cruz always said that she felt most alive onstage and through this unique concept she triumphantly returns to it.
During the show, Lucrecia makes costume changes, wearing dresses and wigs copied from Celia’s original show wardrobe. See the beautiful spirit of Celia Cruz on stage once again! Her life, her music, her legend. A new original experience that puts Celia’s music front and center.
There is also a concert-only version for cabarets, clubs, theaters, or corporate engagement, and shorter engagements.
