Kid Capri, known for his longtime DJ role on “Def Comedy Jam!” He has produced on various soundtracks for film, music, television and has done several music projects. Kid has completed 2 classic albums, with a third on the way called “TOP TIER” Kid is steadily selling out venues across the country and hitting the international markets as well.
David Anthony Love born in Brooklyn, raised in the Bronx, Kid Capri was born to be creative and ambitious. As a young child scaling his family’s old Zenith stereo system in the attempt to scratch records before he was even ten years old. Kid first inched his way onto the hip-hop scene with the grass-roots approach of club gigs and creating mixtapes. Kid is the original guru of mixtapes, as he saw their profit potential early in his career, he paved the way and other DJ’S followed.
A few venues Kid has deejayed for were Jay-z Oscar Party 2018, DJ Khaled Birthday Party, New York International Auto Show with Toyota and DJ Dougie Fresh. Kid embarked the 2018 Global Spin Awards in Los Angeles during NBA All Star weekend, Snoop Dogg presented Kid with the Red Award in honor of DJ Red Alert, Kid produced THE GOOD FOOT for Snoop Dogg 2018 release.
Kid also starred in Netflix’s Def Comedy Jam’s 25th Anniversary special.
In 2017 Kid Capri collaborated with Kendrick Lamar to narrate Kendrick’s new album, DAMN. Fans should look forward to more to come from this talented twosome. Kid Capri’s infamous voice was also featured in the 2017 Tupac film “All Eyes On Me”.
Kid Capri has begun hosting Kid Capri’s Block Party every weekend on Sirius XM-Fly. Kid Capri’s block party bridges the gap with throwbacks to new tracks, he interview’s the biggest names in the industry, and delivers fresh features to keep the playlist on tilt.
