Hip-Hop Icons Big Daddy Kane, Petey Pablo and Doug E. Fresh Also Join Cast in #SKANK

Shake The Tree Productions and Skanky Productions, LLC have announced that acclaimed actor Kevin Dillon (Entourage, Platoon, The Doors) has officially joined the cast of the upcoming feature film #SKANK, a bold dark comedy murder mystery inspired by true events.

Dillon joins an expanding ensemble led by screen icon Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy), Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning actress Brenna Coates, Emmy-winning actress and former Radio City Rockette Jennifer Jiles and recording artist Petey Pablo. The production has also added hip-hop legends Big Daddy Kane and Doug E. Fresh, with additional casting announcements expected in the coming weeks.

Directed by Shaun Paul Piccinino (Lady Driver, Roped, The Island), whose films have been released through Netflix, HBO Max, Warner Bros., Lionsgate and Starz, #SKANK blends sharp satire, viral internet culture, dark comedy, and murder mystery into a wildly entertaining ride.

Dillon will portray Paul Rice, the flawed and increasingly unraveling husband whose affair ignites a suburban scandal that spirals into viral chaos, public humiliation, and ultimately, murder.

The screenplay was written by Jennifer Jiles and award-winning screenwriter Chris Niespodzianski. The film is produced by Toni D’Antonio and Samantha Bowen of Shake The Tree Productions, alongside Brenna Coates, Jennifer Jiles, Chris Niespodzianski, and Ted E. Haynes.

The story follows Jan Rice, a seemingly ordinary wife and mother whose life implodes after discovering her husband’s affair. In a moment of rage and humiliation, she launches a viral online smear campaign against the other woman using the hashtag “#SKANK.” But when the mistress turns up dead, Jan suddenly becomes the prime suspect, forcing everyone around her to question just how far revenge can really go.

“Kevin brings a unique balance of charm, unpredictability, comedy, and emotional honesty to Paul,” said director Shaun Piccinino. “He has the rare ability to make you laugh while simultaneously making you uncomfortable, which is exactly what this role demands. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to the #SKANK family.”

The production also welcomes hip-hop pioneer Big Daddy Kane, who will portray Detective Sanders, the charismatic investigator tasked with unraveling the mystery at the center of the story. Music legends Petey Pablo and Doug E. Fresh will appear in key supporting roles, bringing additional personality and cultural energy to the film’s ensemble.

Kevin joining Ron Perlman, alongside icons like Big Daddy Kane, Petey Pablo, and Doug E. Fresh, is another major step forward as we head into the next phase of production.”

#SKANK is currently in active financing and packaging discussions, with Archstone Entertainment attached to handle worldwide theatrical and streaming sales. Principal photography is anticipated to begin in the Tampa Bay region in late 2026.
