Acclaimed singer, songwriter, record producer, performer and Daughter of the legendary Frederick “Toots” Hibbert, and now lead singer of the new look “Toots and the Maytals”® band, plans to “keep the legacy alive”.
This sultry and talented artist has spent many years performing on stages around the world with her dad, and recorded with numerous reggae acts, including Jimmy Cliff, on the soundtrack of the movie “Lion King.”
Leba performed on Sly and Robbie’s 1999 Grammy winning album, “Friends”, Toots and The Maytals’ 2005 Grammy winning album “True Love” and also featured on the 2020 Grammy Album, “Got to Be Tough”.
Leba after enjoying the great success of her recent chart toping hits; “Natty Dread”, “Jamaica” and “Ragga SoulJah”, is set to release her first EP, “Into The Lights” in 2023, which was produced by Sly & Robbie and High Power Records. This follows her debut self-produced album “Intoxicated”, which was released in 2010.
Leba has been busy in the studios working on a tribute album to her dad which promises to be extra special. This should be completed early 2024.
