Growing up on a sweet potato farm in La Grange, Hillbilly Joel found himself keeping busy singing his original songs “I yam what I yam” and “You say potato I say yam“. Hillbilly Joel soon hit the road to showcase his talent’s around the country only to soon meet, the Twangbangers at the third and a half annual mandatory meeting of the “Top downers, ride arounders, blue oval bowtie Mopar, classic car, open bar don’t drink and drive rolling motor” show LLC in Hardy’s parking lot out in LA Grange.
Chuck Wagon: accordion, banjo or guitar. Wagon is a self-taught child protégée banjo player who played on the Opry at the age of 13.
“Sonny”: percussion. Prides himself on making all of his own drums.
Strugills Stringly: guitar. Stringly can play anything with a set of strings and is the only classically trained member of the twang bangers.
