Grupo CAÑAVERAL, one of the most important cumbia groups at the international level, was born in 1995. It was formed to highlight the roots of a genre that filled them with pride. Today, Mr. Humberto Pabón Olivares, together with his son, the singer-songwriter, music producer and host Emir Pabón, are the group that has reinvented and innovated cumbia and enriched it with collaborations from the most beloved artists across the continent, managing to position themselves as one of the most representative tropical groups in music.
Grupo CAÑAVERAL’s cumbia knows no age limits. Their music has made several generations dance with songs like “TIENE ESPINAS EL ROSAL,” “NO TE VOY A PERDONAR,” “HASTA EL CIELO LLORO,” “ECHARME AL OLVIDO,” among others. With a fruitful career and the love of the public, the group has more than 3 billion global streams and a track record that includes more than 15 music certifications, including diamond, platinum and gold records for songs that are now part of the musical identity of several generations.
Cañaveral continues to conquer important stages in Mexico, the United States, Latin America and Europe with their successful tour, bringing their unmistakable sound to new generations.

This year began a very special journey for Grupo Cañaveral. Under the production of Emir Pabón and Maritza Pabón, they pay tribute to their great leader, Don Humberto Pabón, a living legend who has left an indelible mark on the history of cumbia with his talent, passion and dedication.
This tribute is not just music, it is a gift for all their audience and a recognition of his legacy, his unbreakable love for cumbia and his people. Everything he has built over the years deserves to be celebrated, and what better way than with his Grupo Cañaveral and great artists who came together in his honor, like “Yuri,” “Jessi Uribe,” “Alex Lora,” “Guaynaa,” “Gera MX,” “Kalimba,” “Grupo Niche,” “Los Caligaris,” “La Joaqui,” “Marisela,” “La Adictiva” and many more.
They are currently preparing for a great show titled Salsa Cumbión, a musical celebration together with great friends “Grupo Niche.” The event will take place on November 28, 2025 at the impressive Arena Ciudad de México.

Este año comenzó un viaje muy especial para Grupo Cañaveral. Bajo la producción de Emir Pabón y Maritza Pabón, rinden homenaje a su gran líder, Don Humberto Pabón, una leyenda viva que ha dejado una huella imborrable en la historia de la cumbia con su talento, pasión y entrega.
Este tributo no es solo música, es un regalo para todo su público y un reconocimiento a su legado, a su amor inquebrantable por la cumbia y su gente. Todo lo que ha construido a lo largo de los años merece ser celebrado y que mejor que con su Grupo Cañaveral y grandes artistas que se reunieron en honor a él, como “Yuri”, “Jessi Uribe” “Alex Lora” “, Guaynaa” “Gera Mx”, “Kalimba” , “Grupo Niche”, “Los Caligaris”, “La Joaqui”, “Marisela” , “La Adictiva” y muchos mas.
Actualmente se preparan para un gran espectáculo titulado Salsa Cumbión, una celebración musical junto a grandes amigos “Grupo Niche”. El evento se llevará a cabo el próximo 28 de noviembre de 2025 en la imponente Arena Ciudad de México
